Brawny Rotor Construction. The rotors included with this kit are manufactured from high-grade iron using a specialized casting process. The resulting rotor blanks are then precision-machined before receiving a wear-resistant e-coating for maximum corrosion protection. This process provides you with a pair of rotors that offer exceptional strength and long service life.
Slotted and Vented Rotor Style. This StopTech rotor and pad kit utilizes slotted and vented brake rotors to provide consistent braking performance. Specifically, the precision-machined slots work to keep the brake pads dry and clean by sweeping away moisture and brake dust. The vents for their part are responsible for quickly dissipating heat. The result is improved brake pad bite with reduced chances of fade.
High-Performance Sport Series Pads. The other factor of this kit’s braking performance equation is a set of Sport series brake pads. These pads feature a unique para-aramid composite braking compound designed to offer aggressive friction levels, ensuring faster response. Additionally, these brake pads have higher MOTs (maximum operating temperatures) compared to stock greatly diminishing the chances of fade.
Low Noise, Moderate Dust Design. Another benefit of the included Sport series brake pads is their moderate dust and low noise design. Besides giving you cleaner wheels, the reduced dust levels translate to more efficient braking as there’s less dust that gets trapped between the pads and the rotor face. Moreover, these pads feature OE-style chamfering and slotting for minimized noise, ensuring a more pleasant driving experience.
Straightforward Install Procedure. This StopTech front brake rotor and pad kit is designed to replace your truck’s factory brake pads and rotors without the need for modifications. That said, you will need to have a bottle or two of DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid on hand, as well as high-temperature brake pad lubricant. Besides these items, installation is completed using just standard hand tools.
Total Front Brake Kit. The StopTech Sport Front Brake Rotor and Pad Kit come with everything you need to upgrade your current set-up. This includes two slotted and vented brake rotors, two pairs of para-aramid composite brake pads, two stainless steel braided brake lines, and the correct installation hardware needed to complete the installation.
