2019 Tacoma Accessory & Parts

2019 Toyota Tacoma

Built with both practicality and ruggedness in mind, Toyota has stuck with their successful Tacoma formula for their 2019 model. Combining the 2016’s complete redesign with the improved safety features introduced in 2018, the 2019 Toyota Tacoma is a compact pickup that offers solid off-road capabilities, a best-in-class predicted reliability rating and a high payload capacity. With a four-cylinder base model and V6 option, it also features a towing capacity of 6,500 pounds, and when properly equipped up to 6,800 pounds. TRD models include features better suited for trails and tough terrain, including active traction control, electronic locking rear differential and TRD-tuned suspension.

Upgrade The Cabin

Though well constructed and with durable materials, the interior of the 2019 Tacoma is pretty utilitarian with arguably limited storage space, and considering the amount of time spent inside your truck, upgrading its cabin can be a sure-fire way to increase comfort and rideability. With an incredible range of available interior accessories for the Tacoma, from pedal covers to additional storage solutions, trim and seat covers, there’s massive scope for customisation that affords unique style as well as comfort. Clean up with the center console with an organiser kit, or add a new locking underseat storage box to really max out your storage space. Trim pieces are often a cost-effective means of refreshing and personalising any interior while seat and pedal covers as well as floor mats provide new styling as well as added protection against wear-and-tear.

Enhance Performance

It’s no secret that one of the weaknesses of the 2019 Tacoma is its power. With the base engine, it can pump out around 159hp and 180ft of torque, while the V6 offers a punchier output of 278hp and 265ft torque. For many, that may well fit their bill but if you’re looking to boost performance, power and efficiency on your Tacoma, installing an aftermarket cold air intake kit is a great way to do so. So how does it work?

  1. A cold air intake features longer and wider piping and a high-flow filter that sucks in oxygen dense cold air while also trapping any contaminants, such as dirt and dust.
  2. Much like blowing on the flames of a fire, pumping more oxygen-rich cold air into the cylinder head allows for bigger and more complete combustion.

Trade in your tires

Upgrading itswheels and tireswill not only switch up the exterior appearance but can also further enhance your Taco's off-roading abilities. This is another area with a massive range of customizable options, so it really does all come down to personal preference, style and need. For off-roading, size actually does matter so go for a 17" wheel; for those going for a large rim aesthetic, consider a 20" wheel. Tire-wise, options include all-season, all-terrain (AT) or mud-terrain (MT) tires. For the daily driver - and particularly those in northern climates -- the all-season tires should have you covered but for off-road enthusiasts, again it will come down to your preferred environment. AT tires are ideal for both trail and road use. Their pronounced, aggressive tread pattern efficiently clears out dirt and mud as the tire rotates, and the multiple bias-plies and stiff sidewalls means they are durable and puncture-resistant. Mud-terrain tires are better suited to those who spend most of their time in the mud or do a lot of rock crawling. They offer a unique tread design with massive tread blocks and pronounced voids between blocks to ensure mud does not get compacted, thus ensuring optimal traction. This design does mean that road noise can be quite pronounced with MT tires.
