Merideth: If you're looking for a boost in throttle response for your 2007 or newer Tundra, this Sprint Booster V3 Power Converter will be a great pick. Now, this will give your truck some extra get up and go, and definitely will be noticeable if you've been feeling some lag from any heavy accessories or even some larger tires. Now, I would like to mention right up front that this is not a tuner. This is only going to be changing your throttle response and no other parameters that you would when tuning your truck. Now, this will simply adjust the voltage that goes from the pedal, to the ECU, to the throttle body. And by adjusting this voltage, you can eliminate or modify the delay from when the foot hits the pedal to when your throttle body opens. Now, this will come with a number of different modes, so you can really fine tune this to your personal preference. And this is also a great choice for the truck owner who's not looking to mess with their ECU when it comes to a tuner, and just wants some extra pickup when their foot hits the pedal. Now, as you can see, this is going to be a pretty simple kit. This is going to be your device, which is incredibly compact. It'll mount right up to your dashboard, very easy to access, and easily hidden if you'd like to. Now, this wiring harness here is going to go right in the middle of your throttle pedal wiring harness, making it a plug and play install. Now, getting into the actual modified modes, the first one you're going to have is the sport mode. This is going to illuminate green and increase your throttle response up to 30%. Now, you're also going to have race mode that will illuminate red and increase your throttle response up to 60%. Now, within those acceleration settings, you also have nine choices for different levels of those modes, so you can really fine tune it to your personal preference. You also will have a pedal lock mode which can be used, so no one you want driving your Tundra can, and you have a three-digit code to activate it and deactivate it.Now, the last mode you get is the valet mode. And this is very common with throttle controllers, and will limit the acceleration up to 55%, 65%, and/or 75%, depending on which one that you choose. That one's going to come with a three-digit code as well, giving you a little bit of peace of mind there. Now, when it comes to surprise, this is going to come in at roughly $350, which is pretty average for a throttle controller. Now, when comparing this to other options in the category, this will be an incredibly user-friendly and pretty simplistic option. Now, other choices may include Bluetooth, or include dials instead of the buttons here, or they'll be a lot larger with a screen, and not as easily hidden or mounted like this device is. Now, overall, I think if you're looking for a user-friendly and effective way to gain a personalized throttle response out of your Tundra, then this is a great choice. Now, install will be super easy, at a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Like I said, it's super easy, plug and play. Probably it'll take you 30 minutes to get the job done, and just get familiar with the throttle controller. But at this point, we're going to head over to the shop and check out a detailed breakdown of the install. So that's going to wrap it up for me. Let's go ahead and get into it.Man: Hey, guys, I'm going to show you how to install our Sprint Power Converter here on our '18 Tundra. So let's get started. So the first thing we're going and do to hook up our power converter is we're going to fish this wire down through the dash, mount our switch here that we're going to operate. I'm going to put it right there. And then we'll put this in place between the pedal and the connector there. And that's where all this is going to go. Also we're going to plug this in right here. This is going to get into place and get plugged into this. That gives us the operation of the switch. Now, the manufacturer also recommends that before you hook this up and turn the key on, they want you to turn the key on and let the truck sit for 10 minutes without anything. That way, it actually shuts off the power to the pedal, and then you'll be able to put this on. If you don't do that, you risk the chance of having a check engine light come on.So I'm going to let the truck sit for 10 minutes. We're going to come back, fish this wire down through, put this in, hook this up. And then I'm going to show you how it works. Now that we let our truck sit for 10 minutes, what I'm going to do is fish this wire down through the dash here, and feed as much down through there as I can. Once I get it all fed down through, I'm going to remove the plastic here on the adhesive, two face tape. And what I'm going to do is mount our switch, push down on it right there. And that's where we're going to mount it. That way it'll give us easy access to use it. Now we'll go down underneath and start hooking our connections up down there. So now I have my power converter down here. This is the wire we fished down through. I'm just going to plug this into this first, just like that. Now we'll hook this up to where our gas pedal is up in here and disconnect our harness from the pedal. So now what we're going to do is disconnect our harness. I'm going to push on this clip and pull that off.Once I get that off, now we're going to take our converter, I'm going to get it in the top here. And we're going to hook this up first like that. Hear a click. I'm going to take my factory connector and go into the top of this. So now I'm going to hook the top one up, push that in just like that. And now we have it connected. Now I'll go over the modes in the converter for you. So now that I have our vehicle on, I'm just going to go over the modes with you here. You want to push this big center button. When you see the green light, that's going to be sport mode. And the intensity of that to make the pedal more responsive, you can see you push the sides here, and you see the numbers come up. And it goes one to nine. Nine being the most intensive throttle response you can get. When you go into the next mode, which is race, okay? The light will turn red. Same deal, you can push the arrows which will bring your sensitivity down or up. And when you see no lights, it's in stock mode just like the factory.Woman: So that is going to wrap it up for my review and the install of the Sprint Booster V3 Power Converter, fitting all 2007 and newer Tundras.
