Description
Reinforced Safety and Steering Control. Bring in more wheel control and safety to your off-roading by upgrading your factory steering system to the Red Baron Crossover Steering Kit from Steinjager. This steering system is designed to handle various levels of all-terrain use and abuse, while providing you with more precise steering. It also minimizes bump steer by keeping the tie rod as close to parallel to the axle as possible. Furthermore, the bold red finish attractively imparts a sense of powerful elegance to your TJ’s rugged outdoor presence.
Long-Lasting Functionality. This Crossover Steering Kit consists of a reinforced tie rod and a drag link made of heavy-duty, 1.50-inch DOM tubing with 0.25-inch wall thickness. This particular construction exhibits superior surface finishing, high tensile strength, improved dimensional accuracy, and exceptional weld integrity to hold up well with off-road use. The red baron, powder-coat finish further reinforces the tubing with higher resistance to scratches, chipping, and wearing. Moreover, the 0.75-inch chrome moly ends with their improved load-bearing capacity provide more stable performance.
Simple Installation With Drilling. Installing this Crossover Steering Kit requires that the Pitman arm and spindles be drilled out to .625-inch. The drag link connects to the Pitman arm and to the passenger spindle, while the tie rod connects to the spindles on both sides. The installation process completes with moderate mechanical skills needed. Re-alignment is highly recommended after installation.
Limited Warranty. Steinjager backs this Crossover Steering Kit with a limited warranty against factory defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. Some exclusions may apply. Please see the terms and conditions for full details.
Application. Steinjager specifically designed the Red Baron Crossover Steering Kit to be used on all 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models that is lifted between 0-4 inches.
Note. It is recommended that you either have 4-inch or less backspacing and a minimum 16-inch rim. Factory 15-inch rims may rub the heim joints.
