Shop Parts in this Guide

Step 1: Depending on what your vehicle is equipped with; remove your hardtop and or soft top including entire bow assembly. It is also recommended to remove the softop pivot brackets that are installed on the sport bar using a # 30 Torx. (Keep the tailgate bar to the side, it will be reused later)

Step 2: Lay the tonneau over the rear of the vehicle. (Fig A)

Step 3: Open roll bar flaps and wrap the tonneau around the sports bar. Do not fasten flaps together yet. (Fig B)

Step 4: Install the OEM tailgate bar onto the tonneau by sliding the “C” channel on the bar over the sewn in channel (tube) on the tonneau. (Fig C) Once that is done, insert the bar into the mounting brackets on each side of the tailgate opening.

Step 6: Secure the sides of the tonneau by sliding the sewn in plastic strip on the cover into the channel on the vehicle. (Fig D)

Step 7: Secure the corners also by sliding the plastic strips on the cover into the channels on the vehicle. (Fig E)

Step 8: Now secure the roll bar flap covers by fastening the Velcro strips together. (Fig F)

Step 9: Installation is now complete. (Fig G) Note: the zipper located in front of the tonneau is used for attachment of Smittybilts tonneau extension. (Part# 7614xx)

INSTALLATION TIPS

1. It is recommended to install this part when temperatures are above 72 degrees F. The material can contract an inch or more making it difficult to install, especially the first time. It is designed to be tight to eliminate flapping.

2. Any wrinkles will eventually go away once the material is “relaxed”
