- T40 Star Bit
- 3/16" Allen Wrench
- Large Flathead Screw Driver
Shop Parts in this Guide
1. Remove the 4 T40 star bit screws. One is located after opening the rear tailgate.
2. The surface underneath the hinge may need to be cleaned.
3. One set of parts required for either the top or bottom. The kit includes new 3/16 Allen head screws.
4. The backing nut/plate will move when the screws are removed. I found that even after trying to remove only one hinge at a time, I still needed to leave the 4 screws on the tailgate loose so that I could use a large flat head screw driver to level the tailgate.
