Description
Hardy Steering Upgrade. Your Jeep Wrangler TJ’s stock tie rod and drag link Heim aren’t strong enough to handle the bumps and blows of the rugged trails. That’s why replacing them with this RPM Steering 1-Ton Aluminum Tie Rod and Drag Link Heim Steering Kit will better prepare your Jeep for the challenges you’ll meet off-road. This kit features high-quality and heavy-duty components that can support your vehicle’s extreme-duty applications. The included drag link Heim even comes in an offset design to help clear the Jeep’s differential cover lock to lock. This way, your steering components won’t rub against your Jeep’s undercarriage parts.
Durable Components. The kit’s tie rod is constructed from 1.50-inch 7075 T6 aluminum, making it more durable than your Jeep’s stock component. The drag link Heim, on the other hand, boasts a 7/8-inch, heat-treaded chromoly construction. Thanks to their high-quality construction, the tie rod, and drag link Heim can stand up to the abuse brought by the most formidable off-road environments.
Must Be Installed by a Qualified Mechanic. To ensure that the tie rod and drag link Heim are properly installed, it’s in your best interest to let a qualified mechanic take care of the installation. Installing this kit requires the sway bar mounts to be relocated. The knuckles also need to be drilled to ensure a secure installation. The entire procedure can be completed in no more than 6 hours.
