This is of course due to its more exposed position and sensitive construction compared to the rest of your Wrangler JL’s undercarriage. The Rough Country Muffler Skid Plate is designed to provide exceptional protection to your muffler by fully covering the component without diminishing its function. This skid plate features an angled design that allows rocks, tree stumps, and most off-road hazards to simply roll out of the way preventing damage to your muffler. Additionally, this muffler protection plate also adds a distinctly tough look to your rear-end.

      Heavy-Duty Build Quality. The Rough Country Muffler Skid Plate is crafted from 0.187-inch thick plate steel for superior strength. This skid plate is machine-formed and fully welded for a precise fit, and added rigidity. The Rough Country logo is also precision-cut into the component for a unique look. Lastly, this muffler skid plate is finished in a tough textured-black powder coating for maximum rust protection.

      Built-In Port Holes. The Rough Country Muffler Skid Plate also features precision-cut portholes on its bottom and sides. These holes allow efficient muffler heat dissipation ensuring your exhaust performs optimally.

      Direct Installation Without Modifications. The Rough Country Muffler Skid Plate is designed as a direct bolt-on assembly. This skid plate installs using preexisting locations on your Jeep without the need for drilling or modifications. Also, all necessary hardware is included for convenience.
