This ring and pinion gear kit uses a 5.13 gear ratio which is a definite improvement over the stock. Specifically, this kit provides your Gladiator with excellent torque numbers, enabling you to take on more aggressive off-road courses. When on the highway, this ring and pinion gear kit’s lower gear ratio provides better cruising speed performance, making it ideal for the Gladiator that spends as much time on the road as off it.
Re-Gearing for Wider Tires. If you’re planning on spending a lot of time off-road you’ve probably considered upgrading to wider off-road tires. While wider tires do help with off-road performance, particularly where traction is concerned, you might also experience diminished fuel economy, power, and gearing issues. Re-gearing will get rid of these issues as doing so restores the normal relationship of your ring and pinion gear with your new larger tires.
Hardwearing Build Quality. This ring and pinion gear kit is manufactured from high-grade steel to provide exceptional durability.
