      Video Review & Installation

I'm Ryan from and this is my review of the RedRock 4x4 Rocker Guards, fitting all 1987-2006 Wranglers. This is for those of you who want some light protection on the trail and some protection against door dings in the parking lot. These will also provide you with a step that'll make it a lot easier to get into and out of your stock or lifted height jeep. Now, these are really well built and the only reason that they don't provide a little bit more protection is because of the way they mount. However, these are also gonna be less expensive than some stronger armor on the market and even save you a couple of dollars over similar design and similar mounting armor. Like I said, these are really well built. They're built from one and three-quarter inch diameter .12 inches wall thickness stainless steel that's coated in a textured black powder coated finish, which means that they're going to resist both rust and corrosion because of the powder coating. But if you do get a little bit of damage, you don't have to worry about rust like you would with a mild steel step. Now, like I said, even though these are really well built, it's the way that they mount them makes them a little weaker than some armor that mounts directly to the body. These are designed to drill into the frame and be held on with self-tapping screws. So they're gonna be fine for that light protection on and off road and they're gonna be a great step. However, if you're gonna do some more hard core off-roading and you want to be able to drop the Jeep off of a ledge onto your rocker guards, chances are these are probably going to move.Getting these installed on your Jeep is a pretty straightforward process, but I would recommend having an extra set of hands around because they are a little bit heavy and a little bit large. If you don't have a friend to help you out during the installation, you can use some jack stands to hold up the weight. The first step in the process is going to be removing any other step or rocker armor that you might have on your Jeep, including any factory side steps. From there, you'll hold these bars up to the frame and mark all eight of the holes on each side for drilling. From there, you'll get out your drill and start stepping up to the final hole size. Because these use self-tapping screws to install, you wanna make sure that you don't drill the hole too big or the bolt won't bite. Once you have all of the holes drilled, you can put the rocker guard back in place and install again all eight of the bolts per side. After that, you're done. The whole process shouldn't take you more than an hour and you won't need any specialty tools, but having a nice power cord drill and a sharp set of drill bits will help with the process. As I mentioned, these are really well built, the finish is nice, and overall, they're a really nice product. They are going to be less expensive than some armor that's going to be stronger, but you're gonna pay for the strength with that other armor. So, it really comes down to what you want for your Jeep. If you want something that's gonna provide light protection and a nice step and save you a couple of dollars, this is a really nice option. In fact, these are even less expensive than other rocker guards on the market that are of similar design and mount in the same way. So, if you're looking for some rocker protection on your Jeep and a nice useful step, this is a nice option to take a look at. It's well put together, the finish is really nice, and it's even less expensive than some armor on the market that is of similar design and mounts in the same way.So, that's my review of the RedRock 4x4 Rocker Guard, fitting all 1987-2006 Wranglers, that you can find right here at
