Merideth: Hey, guys. So today, we're checking out the Oracle Rear Bumper LED Reverse Lights with a Plug-N-Play Harness, fitting all 2020 and newer JT Gladiators. Now, these will be a great addition to your build if you're currently struggling with rear-end visibility when it comes to backing up and you're looking for an easy solution for better lighting. Now, this kit will do a great job at providing the extra light that you need while being subtle mounting right into the factory rear bumper for a very clean appearance. These will feature a cluster of bright light LEDs that are responsible for 1500 additional lumens out of the rear end of the Gladiator. Now, these will also keep a portion of the red reflector on the light keeping two OE standards and making you, of course, more noticeable when driving. These lights will have a tough cast aluminum housing, making them super durable, and will have OE mounting points for a no-fuss install. Now covering the LEDs will be a clear PMMA lens which will resist UV light so it won't get any yellowish tint to it or fade in the sun. And it's gonna offer more efficient light transmittance than regular plastic. Now, this kit will also come with a plug-and-play harness making wiring a breeze, and use your existing reverse light power source. Now this will come in at roughly $200 for the kit. Now, compared to other choices, I like the fact that these are incredibly simple and to the point when it comes to the install and the functionality of the light. Now, others in the category may not come with a harness or they may not keep the reflector in the build as to where this one does. Now, I think if you're looking for an easy way to get better visibility when backing up your JT, then these will be a great pick.Install will be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about an hour to get the job done with some basic hand tools. Now, at this point, we can head over to the shop and check out a detailed breakdown of the install and what that looks like step by step. So, that's gonna wrap it up for me. Let's go ahead and jump into it.Man: Tools required for this install include zip ties, a pair of scissors, a ratchet, a shallow and deep 7-millimeter socket, and an 8-millimeter socket. What's up, guys? Today, we're gonna be installing a set of bumper reverse lights on our Gladiator. So let's get started. So our first step is to remove our driver's side tail light and disconnect our wiring harness because we're gonna have to install a harness splitter to power our reverse lights. So we have to drop the tailgate down and remove the two 8-millimeter screws that hold our tail light in place. So we have to remove these two screws. So I've got an 8-millimeter socket to take these out.And once we have our two screws removed, we can just pull straight back on our tail light to release it. So now we can disconnect our harness. So we're gonna pull this red tab backwards, and then we can push on this black tab, and disconnect our harness. So now we can go underneath our bumper and remove the three bolts that are holding our stock reflector in place. So now that we're under the rear bumper, we can remove these three 7-millimeter screws that hold in our reflector. So we'll take a 7-millimeter socket and then we're gonna switch to a shallow 7-millimeter socket to get our last. And then with those removed, our reflector will slide right up. Now once we have our stock reflector removed from one side, we can do the same thing on the other side. Now to wire up our new lights, there's two ways you can go about it. It comes with a harness that splits a power in the ground that you can splice into your reverse wires with. Or you can take this piece off and use a harness splitter that connects to our tail light harness. We're gonna be using a harness splitter, so we'll plug this into the tail light harness and then plug the other side into the back of the tail light, and then it'll give us our two connectors to put onto our reverse light. Now we can take our harness splitter, and we'll plug it in to our tail light harness, and push that red tab in to lock it into place. And then we can fish our wires down into the tail light bucket. And then we can take our tail light and plug it into the other side of our harness and lock our red tab and we can tuck everything back and slide our tail light back into place. And now with our tail light in place, we can reinstall our two 8-millimeter screws. And then we'll take our 8-millimeter socket to tighten these down.So now coming back under the rear bumper, we can install our new light. And then once we have it in place, we can reinstall our 7-millimeter screws. And then we'll take our 7-millimeter socket to tighten these down. So now we can grab the connector that's coming off of our tail light harness splitter and plug the connector from our reverse light into that. And then we can screw this piece on to keep it nice and watertight. And now with our wire plugged in, we can bunch up our excess and zip tie it so it's up out of the way. Then we take a pair of scissors to cut the excess off of most of the zip ties. And then once you have your light installed and wired up on this side, you can repeat the same install procedure for the light on the other side. And then we can run our second wiring harness across the rear bumper to the other side. So now we can take our other harness, we're gonna run it through this frame, pull it through towards the other side. And now on the other side light, we also have a good bit of slack like we have on this side. So it'll be the perfect length to connect them and not have to zip-tie any wires or have wires dangling where they shouldn't be. So now coming to the other side, we can grab the wire coming off of our light and run it through the frame just like the other side. Then we can grab our other harness and we'll connect those together. And then screw our cap on for that watertight seal.So that'll wrap up this review and install of the Oracle Rear Bumper LED Reverse Lights with Plug-N-Play Harness for your 2020 to 2022 Jeep Gladiator. Thank you for watching. And for all things Gladiator, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
