Outer Door Glass Weatherstrip; Right (87-95 Jeep Wrangler YJ)

Key Features. When you have the top of on your Jeep and the windows rolled up, you expect it to be sealed up relatively tight, which is exactly what this outer door glass seal helps you achieve. As the stock seals age, the rubber begins to harden and crack, and it no longer keeps water or cold air from seeping in. Old seals can also be painful to rest your arm on, also seriously reducing your enjoyment when driving around in the good weather. Swapping the old stuff for this new seal means you restore the kind of comfort you're used to, so you don't dread driving your rig around in cold or wet weather. Installation is moderately difficult, and once in correctly the seal performs great.

Construction. Automotive grade rubber is used to construct this outer dor glass seal, which is ideal for a Jeep. It stays soft for a tight fit, even after sitting in direct sunlight, baking in the heat, being frozen, and enduring exposure of whatever else nature throws at it. The metal tabs that are integrated into the seal are bendable, so you can get a tight fit. Once installed, the seal sits flush with the door, keeping all water and air from flowing through.

Installation. Despite looking like an easy process, installation for this part can be fairly tricky. If you've never replaced any of the weather stripping for your Jeep, set aside a good two hours or so, just in case, so you can do a quality job and avoid problems later. Perform all work with the window rolled completely down. You'll need a flat head screwdriver or other pry tool, plus a utility knife to remove the old seal.It works best if you get the seal, includign the metal tabs, lined up perfectly starting on one side of the door, working your way over to the other end. You might need to make a few attempts to get everything lined up correctly.
