Description
Total Sound Dampening. Get total sound dampening and insulation with the SoundSkins Custom Cut Sound Dampening Kit. This sound dampening kit utilizes specially-designed, 3-layer sound deadening panels and will cover your doors, floor, and trunk area. This configuration effectively sound-proofs your Wrangler JK against road and tire noise as well as honking car horns and repair noise. By doing so, this kit creates a quiet interior so you can enjoy your sound system at lower volumes.
High-Strength Build Quality. This sound dampening kit’s individual panels feature a 3-layer construction composed of acoustic foam, butyl rubber, and metallic foil. Together, these layers cancel out sound vibrations to effectively dampen any noise while offering durability. Additionally, the panels measure 0.18 inches thick, making sure these do not interfere with any components in your Jeep. Lastly, these sound dampening sheets are also resistant to water and heat, offering much-needed insulation.
No Frills Install Procedure. This kit’s individual panels install onto your doors' inner surfaces, as well as the floor and trunk area using a specialized self-adhesive backing. No modifications to either your vehicle or the acoustic panels are needed as these have been pre-cut the profile of the area being covered. That being said, you will need to disassemble your car seats as well as other components to get to the floor and trunk’s sheet metal. You will also need to clean the mounting surfaces with a clean rag moistened with alcohol or acetone to ensure maximum adhesion.
