This spare tire carrier is engineered to use your Jeep’s reinforced rear corner section as its mounting point. This design, when combined with the carrier’s included reinforcement plate, allows you to safely carry up to a 40-inch spare. This carrier also features a Delrin alignment bushing for smooth operation and a Heim joint linkage that tethers the assembly to your tailgate. This feature enables you open and closes the tailgate and carrier simultaneously.
High Strength Build Quality. This body mount spare tire carrier is made from heavy gauge plate steel for maximum strength and durability. Furthermore, this spare tire carrier is CNC laser cut and precision brake-formed to exact measurements, ensuring a factory-style fit when installed. Finally, this tire carrier assembly is finished in a specialized multi-stage semi-gloss powder coating for superior protection against rust and corrosion.
Efficient Install Procedure. This body mount spare tire carrier utilizes factory locations on your Wrangler’s rear corner section behind the tail lights. Minor drilling is necessary for proper fitment. Other than this step, installation is a relatively efficient procedure that requires just standard hand tools and maybe an extra set of hands.
