This Dana 44 Rear Axle Shaft Bearing Kit is just such a part. When bearings wear out, bad things happen. Parts don't move as well and put undue stress on systems, and in the worst case scenario, the bearing fails and the rotating part seizes, potentially creating an unsafe situation for you and your passengers.
Replaces Original Part. This Dana 44 Rear Axle Shaft Bearing Kit has bearings that are made of hardened steel to withstand the constant stresses. The accompanying collars meet or exceed OEM specifications. Please note that this kits fits the Dana rear end that is equipped with disc brakes.
Difficult Install. To replace this bearing set you must be comfortable with automotive driveline systems and have a way to get your Jeep jacked up and secured, off of the rear wheels and then stabilized in order for work to be accomplished. It requires more than a standard set of tools as well. If you are not comfortable with this, take this parts to a knowledgeable mechanic and have them perform the work.
