Description
More Power for a Supercharged Engine. Get this black AFE Momentum GT Cold Air Intake With Pro 5R Oiled Filter and give your supercharged Jeep even more power. This dyno-tested cold air intake outflows the stock system by up to 12%, creating more horsepower and torque for your Jeep. Meanwhile, the cross-linked polyethylene housing shields the filter from the engine’s heat so the system can take in cooler air.
No Need for a Custom Tune. AFE guarantees that this cold air intake will work perfectly with the factory tune. Nonetheless, it’s still recommended to get a custom tune to get the most out of the improvements from this cold air intake. A custom tune is also ideal if your Jeep has multiple performance-boosting upgrades.
Progressive Pro 5R Oiled Filter. This cold air intake features AFE’s own Pro 5R filter. This oiled air filter features 5 layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze, ensuring that even the smallest contaminants are kept away from the engine. The body, on the other hand, is made from 100% polyurethane. You can wash and reuse this filter multiple times, with long intervals in between cleanings. This cuts down your maintenance and replacement costs. The clear window allows you to check the filter without removing the airbox so you know when it’s due for another washing.
Heavy-Duty Roto-Molded Intake Tube. AFE used heavy-duty plastic for this cold air intake’s inlet tube. It’s roto-molded and has minimal bends to help ensure a smoother, faster airflow. This CAD-designed, dyno-tuned inlet tube also features a 1/8-inch NPT port located ahead of the throttle body. You can use this port for a water/methanol system that you can utilize at the same time with the cold air intake.
Hassle-Free Installation. There’s no need for cutting, drilling, or welding to mount this cold air intake on your Jeep. All you need are basic hand tools and the enclosed hardware for a quick and simple installation that will take more or less than an hour.
Covered by a 2-Year Limited Warranty. This cold air intake comes with a 2-year warranty from AFE. The warranty begins on the date of purchase and covers issues on the materials and workmanship. Please visit the AFE website for more details or contact customer support for your questions.
No CARB Certificate. Currently, this cold air intake is not CARB exempt and is thus not available for purchase in California. Moreover, you may not use this product in states that employ CARB regulations and on vehicles registered with the California DMV.
