Hey, guys. It's Sara with extremeterrain.com, and today we have a review and install of the Rightline Gear Bed Truck Tent, fitting your '05 and newer Toyota Tacoma with a 5-foot bed. This is perfect for the Tacoma owner who takes their truck camping and wants to utilize the bed space rather than sleeping on the ground. This tent transforms your truck's bed into a more comfortable sleeping area and it features a floorless design for ease of install. It also features sky-view vents to let in more fresh air and a hook on the inside for a lantern as well as gear pockets. This tent sleeps two adults comfortably and is perfect for camping or overlanding. This tent is constructed from weather-resistant fabric with tape-sealed seams and heavy-duty zippers. It also includes frame poles as well as the rain fly to give you protection in all weather. So as far as price goes, this tent comes in at around $200, making it a budget-friendly way to make your next camping trip more comfortable. And as far as the install goes, I'm giving this one a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. It does not require any tools for install, but you may need some elbow grease to get those poles in place. All in all, it can be done within a half an hour. So with that said, let's check out the install. All right. So the first step in our install with the tailgate down, we have the tent laid in the bed. Now, you wanna have your mesh door facing out so we can line it up with the tailgate and get the strap and also the pocket around the tailgate. If you flip it back, you can see this pocket that tucks around the edge as well as the strap. Grab the strap, go around the tailgate, and also tuck that pocket around the edge as well. You'll notice the edge of the door will also line up with the tailgate and that's how you'll know you've done it correctly. And once you have it all lined up, grab the strap and tighten it down. Once it's securely attached at the tailgate, you can grab the rest of the tent and start to tuck it over top of your bed, moving all the way back up to the front of the bulkhead. Make sure you roll the tent all the way back up to the bulkhead. Start to tuck it behind, grab this little elastic piece and pull it down over the corner. Grab the strap and get it hooked on the bottom side of the bed. Next up, grab the two straps next to them and attach them to the bottom of the bed. Then go ahead and pull it tight. And the final one attached to the underside of the bumper, and pull it tight. Now you can repeat that on the other side.At this point, we're gonna fully unzip the door at the front so we can access two straps on the inside. Grab the zipper and open the door. And from here you can see the orange strap. Grab your strap and lift up on the tailgate. And then what you're gonna do is route it between the tailgate and the bed. Keep sliding it until it's all the way down. And once you've pulled the strap down between the bumper and the bed, you can secure it to any spot underneath the bumper. So there's several locations here. You can hook it on here. I'm just gonna go right on the other side, over top of one of these bolts. Repeat that on the other side. Again, you're just gonna...anywhere underneath the bumper. And now that our tent is securely attached, we can install the poles. What you're gonna do is grab one of the orange-marked poles and slide it into the opening that goes in an X over top of the tent. You may have to go to the other side to work it through the other end. And once it's through, about even on each side, we'll insert the other one. Now you can repeat that with the other pole. Go ahead and slide it through and grab it on the other side. And now you can run the all-gray pole through this orange with a gray stripe opening. This will go under the two poles that you just installed. Make sure it gets all the way out through the other side. Now you can grab each of the orange-marked poles and line them up with the pockets at the corner of the four corners of the truck bed. Now you can repeat that on the other side. What you're gonna do is press the pole in. The tent should start to raise on this side. It might be a little bit more difficult than the other side. And repeat that on the backside as well. And now move on to the gray pole, clip each of the straps in place, and then slide it into the opening. Repeat that on the other side. And finally, you can install the cover by just draping it over top. Line it up and we'll get it clipped in on each side. Once your cover's in place, buckle it into each buckle. And then repeat that on the other side. All right. So that is gonna do it for the review and install of this tent. And remember, for all things Tacoma, keep it at extremeterrain.com.
