How to Install Rugged Ridge Sport Bar Dome Light on your 1987-2013 Wrangler

1. Feed tie straps through cradles on back of mount

2. Hold unit in desired positio on roll bar and push ends of straps through buckles. Tighten tie straps. Make sure both straps are tightened securely.

3. Leave approximately 2 inc es of extra tie strap and cut off the rest. Posh the remaining end through extra loop on buckles so that it does not protrude. This will give thtlnstatiation a smooth, clean appearance.

4. Roll bar accessories may removed for cleaning or re-positioning by 'depressing tab on buckle with a screwdriver. This will release tie straps.

5. On RB-1 Dome Light model, the black wire should be connected to a positive ( ) 12 volt source, and The white wire to a negative (—) vehicle ground. No wire harness is included with the light due to variations in vehicle wirng systems. Any necessary wiring can be done with 18 gauge automotive-type insulated wire. For a clean appearance on padded roll bars, wires can be concealed under padding. II weather-resistance is needed for no-top vehicles, simply seal around wire exit hole on light backing plate with silicone sealer. The Dome Light uses a standard automotive #1141 bulb which can be easily replaced by emoving the screws that hold the lens in place. When re-installing lens, do NOT over-tighten screws.

6. On RB-3 Universal Mount, 2 carriage bolts with nylon anti-vibration .washers are included. These can be used totount a lire extinguisher, first aid kit, small audio spealei4;. or similar item. Slotted holes are provided: to hold the bolts and will match up with al ost any hole spacing. If the included bolts are loo long or short they can be cut or other bolts can be substituted. Because of the variety of accessories that can be mounted, you may want to use a different style bolt or even place the nuts on the roll-bar side of the mount. In any case, make sure that the fasteners do not touch ihe roll-bar or roll-bar padding when the mount is installed. Your local hardware store can supply any type of bolt for attaching almost any accessory.

NOTE: On all soft-top vehicles, make sure that ends of ties and edges of metal mounting plate do NOT touch fabric of top.
