Description
Superior Protection. The Rough Country High Clearance Skid Plate will work hard to protect your Wrangler's transmission and undercarriage. This skid plate will replace your old, worn-out factory one to provide optimal protection against road and trail hazards. The tough belly pan keeps your vehicle's underside safe as the pronounced lip guards against rocks, dirt and other debris.
Durable Construction. Rough Country manufactures its skid plates from heavy-duty, 0.25-inch steel for maximum durability and protection. The super tough construction features an innovative design that lets the skid plate sit snug to the vehicle, which avoids hang-ups your stock plate can't handle. It also allows for an additional 2 inches of ground clearance.
Required Upgrade. Non-Rubicon models require a Slip-Yoke Eliminator. An extended rear CV Drive Shaft is required for this product. Additional requirements include a 1.25-inch Body Lift Kit (#1157) and a 1-inch Motor Mount Kit (#1156).
Rubicon models will need a compressor relocation bracket (#1123).
Intermediate Installation. This kit includes a high-clearance skid plate and a transmission mounting plate with all the necessary hardware. Rough Country recommends a certified technician install this system, as this installation requires professional knowledge of disassemble/reassembly procedures. Total installation time is estimated between 3 and 4 hours.
Limited Lifetime Warranty. Rough Country offers a limited lifetime warranty on its Jeep armor parts, which protects against any defects in materials or workmanship. This is only valid under normal use and with proper installation. Some exclusions may apply. See the manufacturer's website for complete details.
