Hey, guys. So today we're checking out the RedRock 4x4 Mirror Relocation Brackets, fitting all 1997 to 2006 TJ Wranglers. So if you are constantly taking your doors off and putting them back on, whether you're driving around on the trail or just enjoying that open-air driving experience, and you're looking for a more permanent mirror solution to better visibility while you're driving around, this option by RedRock 4x4 is gonna be a great choice to take a look into. Now, there are a number of solutions when it comes to mirrors when your doors are off, there are options that will go into the hinge, there are quick release options, and then there is the more permanent solution of a full relocation bracket. Now this option by RedRock 4x4 will push the mirror all the way to the A-pillar, which is still gonna give you some good visibility while you're driving around, but it's not gonna be on the door, so whenever you do decide to take the doors off, you don't have to worry about your mirror at all. And I personally really liked that because it is a no-fuss, hassle-free solution to keeping the mirrors on your Jeep and also staying legal while you're on the street. So this is gonna be made of a heavy-duty steel material, and it is a pretty simple bracket, however, it will be able to hold up for the long run and it's gonna have a nice textured black powder coat finish on top to protect that seal underneath, of course, but it will also match any other textured black accessories that you have on your Jeep already. Now, what I do like about these is not only the fact that this is gonna come with everything that you need to install and reuse some of the factory hardware, making it incredibly easy to put these on which I'll show you guys in just a second. However, this is also gonna come with a gasket on the back to prevent any metal-on-metal contact and keep your paint looking fresh and free of any imperfections while you have these on your Wrangler. Now, with all that being said, these are going to be very affordable at roughly $50 for both sides, and in my personal opinion, I think this is a great solution for that price point. Now other options available on the page, like I said, it may mount in the door hinge, however, that would prevent you from putting on a tube door or a trail door and that's also going to require you to put that on every time. Then there are those quick release options that will go right up on the A-pillar as well, now those are great, but that is just one extra step. Now, in my personal opinion, I think $50 is well worth that price when it comes to a no-fuss and hassle-free solution that's going to hold up in the long run. Now, when it comes to install, like I said, this is gonna be incredibly easy to install on both sides. I'm gonna give it a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and taking you no longer than 30 minutes to get the job done with some pretty basic hand tools. So speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.The tools that I used for my install were a ratchet, a 3-inch extension, a 17-millimeter socket, a 3/16-inch Allen socket, and the T27 Torx socket. So the first step of relocating our mirror is to remove the two lower bolts on the A-pillar. Now, if you have factory hardware, you will be using a T40 Torx socket or Torx bit. I'm gonna be using a 3/16-inch Allen socket because I have replaced this hardware because it was damaged. So what I'm gonna do is take a ratchet and 3/16-inch Allen, and we can go ahead and just remove those two bolts. So once those are removed, what we can do is take our mirror relocation bracket, making sure that the foam is on the back to not damage our paint, then we can take our factory hardware or whatever hardware that you originally had, and we can thread that back into place. So I'm still using that 3/16-inch Allen socket, but I'm also using an extension just to clear this part of the bracket. All right. So now that that's on there, we can remove our mirror from our factory bracket and move it over to our new one.So on the bottom of the mirror, you're gonna have a nut that's holding this assembly through the main part of the bracket. I'm gonna use a 17-millimeter socket and remove that nut on the bottom. Once that's removed, we'll be ready to move it over to our new bracket. So we are gonna have some hardware provided in the kit for this. We're gonna put our larger washer that was provided up on top. Then we can put our spacer in the middle, put our mirror down on and through, then we can attach our smaller washer and the factory nut down at the bottom. Now at this point, you kind of want to see where your mirror sits, I would recommend getting in the driver's seat and adjusting it to where you need it to be, and then we can take that 17-millimeter socket again and tighten that up. So at this point, you can take off the factory bracket. I'm gonna use a T27 Torx socket, as well as that small extension that I was using over here just to clear the bracket itself. We're gonna remove these three bolts that are holding it to our door.So now that the factory mirror bracket is off, it kind of comes down to your personal preference what you want to do with the remaining bolt holes. Now what you can do is get a new hinge for the door. You can replace it that way if you're looking at this bracket as a permanent solution, or you can install shorter bolts or really cover it up however you'd like. So once everything is tightened up on this side, you can repeat that same process on the other side, and you'll be all set to go.So that is going to wrap it up for my review and install.
