Hey guys, it's Sara with extremeterrain.com. And today, we have a review and install of the Pedal Commander Bluetooth Throttle Response Controller, fitting your 2020 and newer Jeep Gladiator models. This is perfect for the Gladiator owner who's looking for better throttle response and wants a plug-and-play option with no tune required. This throttle controller improves throttle response and acceleration performance by increasing pedal sensitivity. This throttle controller features four customizable modes, Eco, City, Sport, and Sport+ with eight levels of sensitivity adjustment per mode. This throttle controller works by sending more voltage to your ECU telling it to increase throttle response therefore, eliminating that laggy pedal feel. Now that being said, this is not a tuner, so it's not going to add any power. However, this will get you the throttle response that you're looking for without making any changes to your ECU. This throttle controller includes the module as well as a wiring harness and adhesive for mounting. It also features bluetooth capability allowing it to work with the app so you can control this from your phone and, of course, you can also use the buttons on the front of the module to control it that way as well. So, as far as price goes, this module comes in at around $375, putting it about middle of the road price-wise when compared to other options. And for your money, you are getting this throttle controller from a brand known for quality with a ton of features and a very simple plug and play install. And as far as the install goes, I'm giving this one a very easy one out of three wrenches. Now, there are no tools required for this install, although a small flat-head may help you release that tab. All in all, it can be done in as little as 10 minutes. So, with that said, let's check out that install. So, the first step in our install is to unplug the connector on your factory gas pedal. Now, to do that, I recommend a small flat-head. You can use your hands if you like, but this is going to help you get right behind it. Once you have that connector removed, you can plug in the wiring harness on your new unit. We'll show you that in just a second. Let's get that factory one unplugged. You'll see a purple connector. You want to stick the flat-head right in the top or bottom of that, then you can get your hands on it and pull it all the way out. This will completely release that connector. Now, the first thing we're going to do before we plug in the new section is line this connector up with your throttle control module and press that down to connect it. Now, it'll make it a little bit easier to find the factory-style connector. This goes right in the same configuration right on top. Press that into place. Now you want to make sure you use the extra zip ties in this kit to just secure everything up and out of the way.Now that your wiring is secured, you can get this module mounted up. Now, you can mount it pretty much wherever you want inside your cabin. I'm going to go for this portion on the dash right here. Again, this is up to personal preference. So, what we're going to do is grab the double-sided adhesive to stick it on the back here as well as the surface. Go ahead and peel that back on both sides. Make sure the back of the pedal commander, as well as the dash is nice and clean and dry so you can stick this double side adhesive. Next up, you want to just line it up on your dash and stick it down. Then once you have the pedal commander fully installed, you can turn on the ignition of your Jeep. You'll see the lights activate and now you can cycle through the modes. Right now we have it in Sport+. You can go to City, Sport. And then, if you'd like to go to Eco mode, all you have to do is hold down the star button and that will put you in Eco mode. From there. you can adjust the sensitivity of each mode on the bottom here by going either up or down, and you can toggle through each mode and each sensitivity to customize it.All right. So that is going to do it for the review and install of this throttle controller. And remember for all things Gladiator, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
