Merideth: Hey, guys. So, today we're checking out the Tubular Matrix doors with the Mirrors fitting all 2018 and newer JL Wranglers. Now, this will be a great option for the Wrangler owners who are looking for a set of doors to gain a little bit of peace of mind while driving and a rugged look while the full doors are off the Jeep. Now, this set will come with two front doors and two rear doors as well as a set of mirrors, which will be great if you're looking for a complete package. Now, I would like to note that I only have two front doors on the table but again, you are going to be getting a complete set with this kit. Not to mention, this will be great for anybody who's a fan of the netting look over a full tubular or full metal appearance. Now, these will be strong, made of the tough tubular steel, finished in a black powder coat to make sure that these will be able to hold their own out on the trail or any elements by protecting that steel underneath from any rust. Now, the mesh net panels will also be made of a tough nylon material, so you can ensure that these will hold up as well, especially if they get snagged on any brush or branches. I do like the fact that these are velcro. So, if you do wanna take these off, if they get super muddy, you wanna clean them and then pop them back on you can totally do so. Now, speaking of the netting, this will also add a little bit of extra protection for you as well as your passengers from any brush if you are wheeling on the trail. Now, the mirrors will bolt in the factory location, giving you the visibility that you would expect out of your factory doors while also matching the styling of the tubular doors very well with a more angular construction and stainless steel hardware. Not to mention, this will also come with lockable latches that are very easy to use, making these doors user-friendly, and it's gonna come with rubber bump stops on each of the doors to make sure that they shut properly without any rattling. Now, as far as price is concerned, this is going to cost you for the set right around the $600 mark, putting this at a pretty average price for a set of tube doors. Now, what I like about this is the fact that this will have mesh paneling for somebody who is again a fan of that look and function in a tube door. Now, some options in the category may have a full metal construction, which won't give you as much visibility out of the side of the door, especially if you're trying to look at your line while wheeling, and then some just have a full tubular construction with bars across the center. Again, you will be able to remove these, giving you a little bit of extra options or customization in comparison to those choices. Not to mention, if you're looking for everything included in one kit, this is gonna be a great choice, especially those mirrors. Sometimes tube doors don't come with mirrors, but again, you can be rest assured when it comes to this kit. Now, as far as install is concerned, this is very straightforward. I'm gonna give it a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about an hour or so to get everything set up and installed. And speaking of the install, one of our guys here in the shop is gonna walk you through that process step-by-step. So, that wraps it up for my review. Let's go ahead and get into the installMan: Tools required for this install include an electric ratchet, a 3/8 ratchet, a 10-millimeter wrench, a 13-millimeter wrench, a 4-mil Allen, a 5-mil Allen, a T50 Torx bit, T30 Torx bit, and a 13-millimeter socket. What's up, guys? Today we're gonna be installing a set of doors on our Wrangler JL, so our first step is gonna be to get our stock doors off. So, let's get right to it. So, our first step is gonna be to remove our two T50 bolts that hold the door onto the frame. So, we can get a ratchet with a T50 Torx bit and get these out.So, now coming inside the car, we can remove this plastic trim panel and disconnect our doorstop and our wire harness, and then remove this T30 bolt down here, and then we can lift up on our door and remove it. And now with everything removed, we can lift up on our door and remove it. All right. So, now coming to the front, we can repeat pretty much that same exact process. We're gonna start out by taking out these two T50 bolts. So, let's get started on that. So, now we can remove our trim panel, remove our doorstop, disconnect our wiring harness, and remove our T30 bolt. Now we can lift up on the door to remove it and repeat that same process on the other side. So, our first step is gonna be to mount our mirror to our door. So, we have a little weather strip here to keep the water out, then we're gonna be using an M6 flat washer, an M6 bolt, and then on the backside we're gonna come in with another M6 washer and M6 lock washer, and finally our M6 nut. And then once we have all those in place, we can tighten those down with a 4-millimeter Allen and a 10-millimeter wrench. So, the kit comes with two different size brackets, the longer one is gonna be for the top, shorter one is gonna be for the bottom. And then we're using our M8 x 25-mil screws. Now, on the backside, we're gonna come in with our M8 flat washer, our M8 lock washer, and our M8 nut. Then on our bottom bracket, we have our door strap that's gonna go on the inside, and then we're gonna use the same hardware as that top bracket. And now once we have all of our hardware started, we can go in with a 13-millimeter wrench and a 5-millimeter Allen and get these tightened down. And then we can repeat that same exact process on the other front door. So, now for our back doors, we're gonna follow pretty much the same process, just without the mirrors. So, we have our bracket and then, instead of the 25-mil screw, we're gonna be using the 20-mil. And then we have an M8 flat washer, an M8 lock washer, and our M8 nut. And then once we have all of our hardware in place, we can tighten it down with a 5-millimeter Allen and a 13-millimeter wrench. And then we can repeat that same process on the other rear door. So, to install our front door, we're gonna slide our hinges into place, and then we're gonna reuse our factory hardware on the bottom. And then if you have trouble lining it up, you can pull the door out a little bit to get your thread started. And then we can tighten those down with the T50 Torx bit. So, now coming to the inside, we can connect our door strap, and then we can repeat that same process on the other front door. So, now we can go ahead and do that same thing on our back door. We'll get our factory hardware going in the bottom, and then we can tighten these down with our same T50 Torx bit. So, now coming back inside the car we can reconnect our door strap, and then we can repeat that same process on the other side.Merideth: So, that is going to wrap it up for my review and the install of the Tubular Matrix Doors with the Mirrors fitting all 2018 and newer JL wranglers.
