Merideth: Hey, guys. So, today, we're checking out the Bestop Sunrider for Factory Hard Tops in Black Diamond, fitting all 2007 to 2018 JK Wranglers. Now, having a hard top can have its downfalls, and one of the biggest ones is easily gaining that open-air driving experience that the Jeep is all about.Now, this Sunrider by Bestop will be for the Wrangler owners with a factory hard top looking for the best of both worlds with a soft top in the front, taking place of those bulky Freedom Panels and then keeping the heavy part of your hardtop on the Jeep.Now, whenever you want, you can very easily unlatch this and flip it open for that open-air experience without having to unlatch your Freedom Panels and trying to find a place to store them or throwing them in the back of the Jeep where they could potentially get banged up or even just take up the storage space that could potentially be used.This will also work with both two-door and four-door Wranglers and will seal to the front with a header here. It's also going to seal to the sides with the door surrounds that are included which will be just like a soft top to ensure no leaking and complete coverage from the elements.Now, when it comes to the construction, this will be very similar to the factory soft top material made of a durable 28-ounce black diamond vinyl material. This will also come with the frame preinstalled on the fabric, making it just that much easier to install, and will come with everything that you need in order to get this onto your Jeep, including door rails, the knobs, the brackets, and even tie-down straps so whenever you have this open, you're going to make sure that it stays in place while you're driving.Now, when taking a look at price, this will come in at roughly $800, and for the function and quality that this offers, I definitely think that it's well worth that price point.Now, when it comes to comparing this to other open-air solutions on the site, this will be very unique in the fact that this is going to function as a top as where some other choices are usually going to consist of mesh tops or even bikini tops.Now, Bestop does also have another option made of black twill, which is a little bit heavier in weight, and will up that price point because of that, considering that it's a little bit higher quality than this black diamond. However, this material will be very standard across the board and proven to be tough and durable, and is, honestly, a great choice if you're in search of a unique solution to getting the best of both worlds when it comes to your top.Now, getting into install, this will be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about an hour to get the job done with some basic hand tools. And one of our guys in the shop is going to show you how to get that process done step by step. So that wraps it up for my review. Let's go ahead and get into the install.Man: Tools required for this install include a ratchet and a T30 Torx bit.What's up, guys? Today, we're going to be installing a Sunrider on our Wrangler. So, let's get right to it.So, our first step is going to be to undo our six clips that are holding in our factory hard top panel. It's going to be three in the front and three in the back. So, we can fold these down and give us more access to these two.And this will just pop right up. And then we're going to twist this one and pop this one like the other side. So, our next three are going to be one in the middle and two on each side. And then we also have two mushroom screws we're going to have to remove as well.So now, we can simply just lift up and remove our hard top. So, the driver's side is going to come out first and then the passenger. So now might be a good time to clean your weather strip over your windshield and across the hardtop.And then we can install our passenger side door bar. Then we take one of our screws, throw it in this hole, and we'll leave that one a little loose for right now, and then do the same thing on the other side.So now we're ready to get our Sunrider up into place. This would be a good time to grab a buddy. But I'll show you how to do it with one person. So now with our soft top lifted into place, we can take our screws, feed them through the hole in the door rail, and we'll get these about hand-tight as well. And then we can do the same thing on the other side.So now we can reinstall our factory mushroom screws, put them up through, and pull the soft top down to help it line up. Now, we're going to leave these ones a little loose too until the end.Now we can take our included T30 Torx screws, thread them through this hole up top, and then we can snug that down. Now we can repeat that same process on the other side. Now we can lower our soft top into place and latch it in.So now we can take our bracket and two more of our T30 Torx screws, get our bracket into place, and tighten our screws. Now we can do that same thing on the other side. So now we can go ahead and tighten down all of our knobs. So we can hit these two and the mushroom knobs in the middle.Now we can repeat that same process on the other side. Now, the kit also comes with these Velcro tie-down straps so that when you have this reclined, it can open this up, and then that'll just make it so that it's not able to move while you're driving.So that'll wrap up this review and install of the Bestop Sunrider for Factory Hard Tops in Black Diamond for your 2007 to 2018 Wrangler JK.Thank you for watching.
