The Purpose of Jeep Grab Handles

The first association with grab handles is emergency situations. Having something to grasp while bouncing along the trails, but grab handles serve a second function. If your Jeep is lifted, it can be a pain to get in and out for both you and passengers, especially younger passengers. The last thing you want is to have a camping trip ruined before it gets started. Adding a set of grab handles and side steps will make getting in and out of your lifted rig a non-issue. Some of the best Jeep grab handles are made of paracord, so if you need something tied down, you can undo the grab handle for a good length of paracord.

Where to Mount New Grab Handles

There are several places you can mount grab handles. The most iconic is the A-pillar, which are generally metal, U-shape handles. We recommend splurging on the metal handles that have rubber grips. Other places you can mount grab handles include the roll bar, like the aforementioned paracord handles. Assuming you don’t have the headrests at their minimum height, you can mount grab handles for your back seat passengers at the base of the head rests. Lastly, if you’re not a fan of the A-pillar mounted handles, consider mounting a set of handles on the windshield header, underneath the sun visors.
