Hi, guys. So, today we're checking out the Alterum Hard Top Headliner kit, fitting all 2011 to 2018 4-door JK Wranglers. So, hard tops definitely have the one up on soft tops when it comes to sound dampening and better insulation for your cab area. However, they still have their faults because they are removable. Now, adding a headliner to your Wrangler is just going to take that to the next level, and this option is going to be a very affordable choice, and a high-quality choice to take a look into. Now, this is going to really help out with sound dampening and road noise outside of your Wrangler, and it's also going to help out with temperature control inside your Wrangler, whether you want to keep the warm air in your cab area in the colder months, or vice versa. Now, this is going to be made of a heavy-duty nylon Oxford material, so it is going to be more of a fabric material, which I do personally like. I think that it's going to help out a lot with temperature control, and not necessarily put all of the focus on sound dampening and road noise, which some other options will do. Now, this is going to have four pieces in the kit. You're going to get two for the front freedom panels, and then you're also going to have a middle section over the rear seats, and a rear section for your cargo area, making sure that this is going to have complete coverage on the hard top itself. Now, this is also going to be removable, which I do really like about this kit. Some other choices will not have that option. So, if you don't necessarily want to run this all the time, you don't have to.Now, on the back of this, we're going to see that this is going to come with a Velcro material, and that's what's going to make it removable. Some other choices you just peel off, and it's going to have an adhesive surface on the back, but with this, you can take it off and put it on whenever you'd like, and it's very easy to install. This is going to come with strips of 3M tape and double-sided Velcro, so again, it is going to be incredibly easy to not only install but to use on a daily basis. Now, with that being said, this is going to be the more affordable choice at right around the $150 price point. And I personally think that that price point that you're getting a quality kit. Now, in comparison to some other choices, like I said before, they are going to be set up a little bit differently. Some choices may be made of a foam material. That's going to put a little bit more focus on the noise and sound dampening in comparison to both sound dampening and temperature control, and then some options are just not going to be removable, so you'll pull the adhesive off of the back and stick it to the hard top, in comparison to this, where it has the Velcro. So, overall, in my personal opinion, I think if you're looking for an affordable option and you're also looking for an option that is going to be removable and have a couple of extra bells and whistles than some of the other choices, then this is definitely going to be it.Now, install, like I said, is going to be very easy. I'm going to give it a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Not going to need any tools to get the job done. Probably about an hour's worth of your time to do it. So, speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.So, to kick off this install, I am going to start in the front with one of our freedom panels. You definitely don't have to take off your freedom panels in order to do this, or take off the hard top in general in order to do this. But I wanted to give you guys a better look at how these attach to the hard top, and a better look at what's going on here. Now, these are going to come in four different sections. You're going to have two for the freedom panel and two for the back portion of the hard top, and they're going to be specifically cut to where they need to be laid. So, this one is going to go on our freedom panel here on the front. We're just going to have that headliner look, and then on the back, we're going to have multiple pieces of Velcro that is going to allow to be attached to the hard top. Now, we're also going to get a bag of Velcro that we're going to stick on here in just a second, so we can attach this to our freedom panel. So, what I recommend to do is just take a couple of pieces of Velcro, and we're actually just going to stick them to the headliner itself. We'll peel the 3M tape back, and then we'll fit it in place and give it a good press. This is going to make sure that everything is lining up, all of the Velcro is lining up, and we have a good fit with our headliner. Now, I'm just going to space them out a bit. And if we need to, because this is Velcro, we can adjust it. All right. So, once we have our Velcro laid down onto the headliner, what we can do is start to peel off the backing, then we can flip it over and stick it down. So, once all of the backing is removed, you want to make sure that the hard top is clean. You don't want any dirt or oil or anything that could be sitting on the hard top to interfere with the adhesion process, but then really all we have to do is just flip this over. Make sure that it's in a good spot, and then we can give it a good press. So, because this is Velcro, it is removable. What I would suggest before pulling the headliner off after we just stuck it down to the hard top is kind of individually going around and making sure that the other side of the Velcro, the part that has the 3M, is sticking correctly, before you pull it off, because it might pull up the 3M. You want to make sure that it's adhering properly to the hard top. But that will keep it in the same position, so if you want to reinstall your headliner, you want to leave your Velcro on the freedom panel or the hard top itself, then you can go ahead and do that, and it will be in the same location for this to stick properly. So, I'm just kind of working my way around the headliner. So, some may come off, but all you have to do is just stick that back into place, where it was originally laying down and so on. So, once you take off the headliner itself, this is what your freedom panel is going to look like, or what the hard top is going to look like, and then, in order to reinstall it, all you have to do is just press this back down into place. Since all of the Velcro is already lined up, you just have to give it a good press, then you'll be all good to go. Now, what we need to do at this point is just repeat this process for our second freedom panel, then we can head inside the Wrangler and repeat that process for the back headliner. So, again, we can just repeat that same process for the middle and the back panel. This one is going to be the middle one. You can tell because there's a little bit of an angle. This is just going to go around the soundbar, and then the back headliner is just going to be a large rectangle. But we're going to do the same thing. We're going to take our 3M and just spread it out all over our headliner. So, at this point, now that all of our 3M is attached, we can attach our middle piece to the center section of our hard top here. Now, the two angles on either side, that's what's going to go around our soundbar. So, the shorter side goes at the front. I'm just going to start on this side and go across. What we can do now is just repeat that process again on our back panel. So, that's going to wrap it up for my review and install.
